Abstract
This paper analyzes the film material of the extinct Compañía de Fierro y Acero de Monterrey by identifying, organizing and classifying the material. To achieve this, a documentary research was carried out in archival and newspaper sources to complement the respective general guide of the film collection. This made it possible to draw up a classification chart of the collection, the results of which made it possible to identify a total of 59 films on cellulose acetate support in 16 and 35 mm formats. It was concluded that the film heritage worked on is substantial and documents processes and events of great importance, whose research is complemented with other documents in different media.
